Rep. Golden opens new Bangor office
The representative fo Maine's Second Congressional District took questions from constituents and talked about his goals this year in Washington, DC
He said his number one goal was ending the government shutdown
He also said this new office will have two staff members working there, and opportunities for paid internships.
"For me a top line goal is getting out into the district in a very aggressive way and making sure that people are able to interact with me," said Rep. Golden. "We want to make sure that people feel like they have full access to their representative."
Rep. Golden said he's in Washington from Monday to Thursday, but on days off he's usually traveling around the second district.
He said another legislative goal of his is to tackle rising prescription drug costs.
