Golden Releases CMP Transmission Line Documents Obtained from Army Corps
Following an October request from Golden, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has provided 600-pages of information relating to CMP’s proposed NECEC transmission line to Golden’s office
WASHINGTON — Following the announcement of a public hearing on Central Maine Power's New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC) project, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has provided Congressman Jared Golden's (ME-02) office with 600 pages of documents relating to the CMP transmission line. Golden, who has called for increased transparency in the review process for the CMP project, requested the release of the documents in a letter to USACE last month.
The documents contain Central Maine Power's (CMP) amended application and supporting documents for the project's Clean Water Act permit. The application was amended in response to comments and information requests from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and USACE.
