Golden Statement on Vote to Condemn Hamas, Support Israel

WASHINGTON — Congressman Jared Golden (ME-02) released a statement following his vote today to pass H.Res. 771, a bipartisan resolution for which Golden is an original cosponsor, which solidifies Congressional support for Israel as it defends itself from Hamas’s terrorist attacks. 

“On October 7, the world bore witness to the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. America should be clear in its condemnation of Hamas and firm in its support for Israel. My vote today makes clear my support for Israel in its fight against Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and any other terrorist organizations who seek the destruction of Israel. I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues to pass the President’s proposed assistance package for Israel,” said Golden.
