ICYMI: Golden Holds Open House & Office Hours

January 14, 2019

LEWISTON -- U.S. Congressman Jared Golden (ME-02) welcomed Mainers into his Lewiston office today and over the weekend to listen to his constituents and address their concerns. At a Saturday open house and at office hours held today, Golden talked about his plans to be open and accessible to Maine people, addressed important issues like the cost of healthcare and bringing good jobs to the Second District, and discussed his work to open the government.

On Saturday, Golden officially opened his Lewiston office and welcomed constituents for an open house. The event was an opportunity to meet the Congressman and his staff, ask them questions, and learn about their plans to be active in the community. The event was open to all and roughly 75 people attended.

Today, Golden held his first office hours in Lewiston. Mainers came to talk with the congressman about how they could work together on a range of issues, from resolving problems with federal agencies to addressing student debt relief. Golden aims to hold office hours regularly throughout the Second District.
