WASHINGTON — Congressman Jared Golden (ME-02) led a successful effort to secure a one-year extension for the Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC) recently as part of the omnibus government funding bill that was signed into law earlier this month. The HCTC helps dozens of Maine retirees, specifically retired workers from the Twin Rivers Paper Mill in Madawaska, afford health insurance.

WASHINGTON — Congressman Jared Golden (ME-02) today voted against waiving the requirement that retired and former servicemembers take at least seven years between their military service and serving as secretary of defense.

WASHINGTON — After a mob of violent insurrectionists assaulted the U.S. Capitol Wednesday, Congressman Jared Golden (ME-02) announced his support for an article of impeachment against the President of the United States today for his role in the deadly attack. The article of impeachment, introduced by Congressman David Cicilline (RI-01), would impeach the president for inciting insurrection.
