BANGOR, Maine — Congressman Jared Golden opened his third district office in Bangor on Saturday.

The office is locatedon State Street in downtown Bangor. Golden said he held the open house to hear from Mainers and discuss the work he's doing in Congress.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WABI) - Congressman Jared Golden is introducing a bill designed to stop drug companies that try to unfairly raise drug prices.

The bill would punish pharmaceutical companies that raise the price on a drug more than 10 percent within one year.

The freshman Democrat introduced the FLAT Prices plan Wednesday, Feb. 13. which would penalize pharmaceutical companies that "harm consumers with sudden, exorbitant price increases."

WASHINGTON — Maine legislators have joined a bipartisan group, asking that the U.S. potato industry be considered in trade negotiations with China.

Sens. Susan Collins and Angus King and Reps. Chellie Pingree and Jared Golden signed a letter to the Trump administration, asking that the U.S. potato industry be a priority in discussions about the U.S.-China trade deal.

AUBURN — The inaugural Vets in the Valley event at Lost Valley attracted dozens of veterans and active-duty service people and their families who were offered free lift tickets and ski rentals.
