LEWISTON — It is time for congressional leaders and President Donald Trump "to stop hiding and show a little leadership" to end the longest federal government shutdown in the nation's history, U.S. Rep. Jared Golden said Monday.

WASHINGTON -- Today, Congressman Jared Golden voted for a bipartisan package of legislation that would reopen the government after a nearly two week shutdown. The bills, nearly identical to legislation passed overwhelmingly by the Senate last month, maintain funding levels for six federal agencies through September 30, 2019, and provide funding for the Department of Homeland Security through February 8th.
